Hi, I'm Dan.

I'm a dog lover, city walker, and the founder of The NYC Sniff. My life revolves around finding the best adventures for my dog in the world's greatest (and most chaotic) city.

When I moved to New York, I quickly realized that being a dog owner here is its own lifestyle. There's no backyard. There are aggressive leash laws. And finding a patch of grass can feel like discovering buried treasure.

But here's the thing: once you crack the code, NYC becomes the best dog city on the planet.

Secret swim spots in Prospect Park. Cafés where your dog gets their own menu. Ferries that pass Lady Liberty. Sunrise walks on the Brooklyn Bridge when the tourists are still asleep.

I spent years collecting these discoveries—scribbled in Notes apps, shared in group chats, recommended to fellow dog owners at the dog run. Eventually, I realized this knowledge needed to go somewhere.
